LibreELEC Kodi Boot Repair

Job ID: 39796851

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Hey Linux Freelancers!
Our micro-PC normally launches straight into Kodi via LibreELEC for playing movies, TV shows etc., but it now stalls at the message: “starting debugging shell: mount storage… type exit to quit”

If you can diagnose the current fault and salvage the install—great. If not, a clean wipe and fresh LibreELEC image is perfectly fine as long as it autostarts Kodi and all core drivers (IR receiver, Wi-Fi, HDMI audio) work out of the box. The goal is a solid, self-booting Kodi setup for home entertainment that powers straight on to the Kodi interface and works with the USB remote already paired to the box.

It is quite possible some hardware may need replacing. Salvaging the data on the current drive is desirable but optional, since I can reupload media from an independent backup if necessary.

I am expecting to mail the unit to you (it's a micoPC and so lightweight).

Deliverable
• Micro-PC powers on and lands in a functional Kodi home screen without manual intervention.
• Kodi can be operated entirely from a remote control (which will be sent along with the unit)
• Unit will accept FTP for uploading files

I’ll test playback of local media and remote navigation to confirm the fix. Once that passes, the job is complete.
