Kali USB Diagnostic Report
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need to run a quick system-diagnostics exercise on an old Windows machine using my existing Kali Linux Live USB (persistence is already enabled, so no build instructions are required). After booting into Windows, I will create a blank text file on the desktop named exactly with my GMIT student ID—e.g., G012345678.txt.
Once the file is in place, I will reboot into Kali, open a terminal, and:
1. Use the find command to locate that desktop file and capture a clear screenshot of the terminal output (label this S1).
2. Execute sudo fdisk -l, then capture a second screenshot of the full results (label this S2).
I must also record the precise commands for five separate searches:
• locate all .mp3 files
• locate Batman *.mp4 files
• locate exam *.docx files
• locate and delete those exam *.docx files
• locate .xlsx files modified within the last 24 hours
Both screenshots and the five command lines have to be compiled into a single Word document. Clean, readable formatting is essential; place the screenshots first (S1 then S2), followed by the five commands in the exact order listed above.
When everything is complete, I will deliver the Word file only—nothing else is required.
