Install Windows 11 on a Linux Server (VirtualBox) & Enable RDP to connect

Job ID: 39975034

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a fully working Windows 11 Home environment inside Oracle VirtualBox on my Ubuntu machine. VirtualBox is not yet installed, so the job starts with adding the correct repository, installing the application and Extension Pack, and confirming that hardware-virtualization is enabled in BIOS.

Next, please guide me to download the official Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft’s website, create the virtual machine, finish the OS installation, and add Guest Additions. Once Windows is running, configure networking so I can reach the guest through Remote Desktop Protocol from the host and the rest of my LAN—whether that means NAT with port-forwarding or a bridged adapter, I’m open to whichever solution delivers a reliable mstsc connection.

Deliverables
• Windows 11 Home VM running smoothly in VirtualBox on my Ubuntu system
• Confirmed RDP access with credentials I can later change
• A clear, step-by-step record of the commands and settings applied so I can repeat the process whenever needed

I’ll provide sudo access or screen-share as required and will test the RDP connection live once you say everything is ready.
