Dedicated Server Windows Installation
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
I have a freshly provisioned dedicated machine and need a clean Windows Server installation carried out from scratch. I’m flexible on the exact edition—as long as it is a stable, up-to-date release you’re comfortable supporting—but I do want the File and Storage Services role installed and working before you hand the server back to me.
Here’s what I expect:
• Perform the full OS install, apply the latest updates, and secure remote access (RDP).
• Add the File and Storage Services role, configure best-practice storage spaces/volumes, and verify everything through a quick file-transfer test.
• Document any admin credentials, network settings, and the steps you took so I can repeat or undo changes later.
If you can also create a sample share with sensible NTFS and share permissions, that would be a plus, but we can discuss that once the core setup is finished.
I’ll give you out-of-band KVM or IPMI access as soon as we agree on a timeline. Let me know roughly how long you’ll need and anything else you require before starting.
