CentOS 8.2 KVM Installation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need CentOS 8.2 (2004, minimal) installed on our KVM-based server using the official ISO I’ve placed here:
http://mirror.nsc.liu.se/centos-store/8.2.2004/isos/x86_64/CentOS-8.2.2004-x86_64-minimal.iso
The key requirement is that the machine must stay on 8.2; the automatic leap to 8.5 has broken our vendor-supplied software twice already. Please handle the install in a way that prevents any post-install upgrade (e.g. disabling problematic repos or locking the release stream).
I’m specifically looking for someone who has done legacy CentOS or RHEL builds under KVM before and can demonstrate it. Non-KVM generalists really won’t be the right fit.
Deliverables
• A fully bootable CentOS 8.2 minimal system accessible over SSH
• Written notes on the steps taken to lock the version, so we can reproduce the process later if needed
Let me know your turnaround time; I expect this to be a straightforward task for the right person.
