Freelance Job Description – VMware ESXi (4 Virtual Machines)

Project Objective: Create, configure, secure, and document four (4) virtual machines on VMware ESXi.

These servers will be used for professional web hosting. Priority required for the first two machines:

- Ubuntu DirectAdmin - Ubuntu CyberPanel

Backup and recovery strategy (MANDATORY)

The freelancer must implement a comprehensive operating system backup strategy for each VM. Required for EACH VM:

1. VMware snapshot after a clean OS installation (before any panel installation)

Example snapshot name: CLEAN_OS_BEFORE_PANEL

2. Full clone of the VM after a clean OS installation

Example clone name: da1-CLEAN-OS

3. OVF/OVA export
- Export after a clean OS installation
- Export after panel installation (stable)

4. Proof of restore
- The snapshot restore must work
- The cloned VM must boot correctly
- The OVF/OVA file must be importable

5. Documentation explaining when and how to restore each VM. This work is NOT complete without proof of backup. Final Deliverables
