Scope of work for Storage Migration of SZ FMCC Ph-7 is as below:-
Our current setup is, We have two SUN M4000 servers connected to SUN Pillar axiom 600 storage through Brocade 300 SAN switch.
want to migrate this SUN Pillar storage to Dell storage.
1) Take a server/storage backup, (one of the server getting ufsdump error (metadetach the mirror issue ) this need to be solved)
2) Doing initial configuration of dell storage like Assigning new IPs and passwords.
3) Raid configuration as per existing storage (May be Raid5) or For (any one or two) high read/writing IOPS partition Raid 10, if possible.
4) Configuration of LUNs as required for this migration or as per existing setup.
5) All SAN Switch configuration as required for this migration.
6) Mounting LUNs to the servers
7) Migration of all configuration data and other data required for smooth functioning of database application and scripts.
8) Database related configuration required for this migration.
8) Detaching old storage from cluster and add new storage in cluster.
9) Bringing up the cluster.
10) Testing the cluster in production with application and database lively with help of Xalted.
Note:- Try to keep the Pillar storage parallel connected. Once we are sure about all things are working then pillar storage can be detach Pillar storage or shutdown it.
