OpenVPN Site-To-Site VPN
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need the following to be configured,
VPN VM client Ubuntu 18.x to establish a site to site VPN with VPN server(VPN client should act as a router, DHCP server and kill switch function, which means it can't connect to anything but the VPN server, so if VPN connection fails, VPN client loses access to internet until VPN connection comes back)
VPN Server Ubuntu 18.x. VPN VM server should be a DHCP server, provides DNS configuration to the client.
For the project to be completed, the below has to be met in full,
- VPN has to be over UDP port 1194 or any other UDP port.
- You need to optimize both VPN server and VPN client configuration files so that the bandwidth/speed is not compromised (download speed is 47 Mbps before, I suspect it to be around 40 Mbps after VPN, upload speed is around 14 Mbps before VPN, I suspect it to be around 10-11 Mbps)
- You need to Optimize both VPN server and client configurations files with best security config
- VPN client can successfully connect to VPN server and the connection is stable
- VPN service starts automatically when the server powered on
- VPN service starts automatically when the client powered on with the ability to change openvpn client file if I want to change it.
- You provide FULL documentation in a detailed, organized and clear step by step on how to configure the client and server to perform the mentioned functions
- Provide comprehensive commands to troubleshoot VPN connectivity issues in the configuration file mentioned earlier, such as but not limited to;
1- VPN connection is established but the client has no internet access. You need to indicate where to find log files on Client and Server and what commands to be used to troubleshoot this issue.
2- VPN connection is established but the connection is slow. You need to indicate where to find log files on Client and Server and what commands to be used to troubleshoot this issue.
3- VPN connection can't be established. You need to indicate where to find log files on Client and Server and what commands to be used to troubleshoot this issue.
4- VPN connection is established but it's unstable (keeps disconnected). You need to indicate where to find log files on Client and Server and what commands to be used to troubleshoot this issue.
5- Track for how long VPN connection is established for how long
6- Commands to check if VPN service is up and running on VPN server
7- Commands to Check if VPN service is up and running on VPN client
Please note:
The project will be considered completed when I'm able to create a VPN server and a VPN client using the provided documentations.
I can work with you on this project only Saturday between 7-10 PM EET (GMT+2)
Sunday between 2-5 PM EET (GMT+2)
