Dell Laptop Refurbishment for Reselling
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have four Dell machines—Inspiron and Latitude models—that need to be brought back to full working order so I can resell them to fund my new wedding-apparel dropshipping store, ark-fashion.shop. Two of the laptops are currently stuck on the loading screen; none of them are yet running the operating system mix I need. Ultimately every unit must leave my hands with a clean, fully tested dual-boot of Windows 11 and Linux Mint.
Here is what I need from you:
• Diagnose and restore the two Dells that hang on boot, confirming hardware is sound and the BIOS is properly configured before installing the OSs.
• Remove a persistent virus on my Latitude, verify all partitions are clean, and then replace its existing Windows 10/Linux Mint setup with Windows 11/Linux Mint.
• Upgrade an Inspiron that still carries Windows 7 to the same Windows 11/Linux Mint dual-boot.
• Make sure secure boot, GRUB, drivers, and Dell-specific firmware updates are all in place so the systems start reliably every time.
• Provide a brief post-repair checklist for each laptop noting what was done, the activation/installation details, and any follow-up care I should know about.
I expect the initial batch to take around 5–10 hours this month. If we work well together, I’ll regularly send you more auction devices—laptops, tablets, and phones—to prep for resale, so I’m looking at this as the beginning of an ongoing arrangement.
Let me know your approach for imaging, license handling, and safeguarding data, plus any toolsets you prefer (Clonezilla, Ventoy, Dell SupportAssist, etc.). I’m ready to get the first two non-booters on your bench as soon as we agree on the plan.
