Create a Network using Packet Tracer
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
You have helped a family of six connect multiple devices to the Internet. This week, it is time to enhance your diagrams and report to include the necessary IP addressing. You will use 172.16.X.0/24 as the network for the house (The X is any value you choose).
Use Packet Tracer to add to the network you built in Phase II, showing the way each device connects to the network in a diagram, along with each device's assigned IP address. Document whether the IP listed is static or dynamic.
For the devices using static IP addresses, configure the static IP.
For the devices that use dynamic IP addresses, configure the device appropriately.
Take screenshot(s) documenting the Packet Tracer network to add to your report (below).
The diagram must include all devices that are located in the home as outlined in Phases I and II.
The type of IP address each device has: static or dynamic.
Why static or dynamic IP addresses were chosen for each device.
IP addresses for each device on the network.
Within the gaming PC device information, describe the connectivity between gaming PC and laptop using the new IP addresses.
A picture of the previous network is included.
Lastly, create a security policy.
Complete the Cybersecurity Policy section within your report. Describe how you will secure the network with a basic policy.
Document in this section the steps taken to secure the network in Packet Tracer.
Also, include in this section screenshots showing that your proposed security policy is configured on each device in Packet Tracer.
