Test job & Frontend Developer with Svelte and TailwindCSS
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We are looking for a front-end developer to build a PWA with Svelte and Tailwind CSS. This is a *PAID TEST JOB* with a specific goal in mind: find suitable candidates for a longer term collaboration.
The ideal candidate should possess the following non technical skills:
* Able to provide high-caliber work
* Good written and verbal English communication skills
* Able to follow provided specs and follow up for clarification when needed
Working knowledge of the following tools/technologies/concepts is required:
* Svelte framework
* Tailwind CSS
* PWA
* Working with REST APIs
* Git
* Docker familiarity would be a plus
Description of the job
The test job requires that you create a simple PWA such as the one described in the attachment, using Svelte and Tailwind CSS. The app must respect the iPhone6 resolution and higher, but no larger than the largest iPhone on the market.
The application uses Svelte Kit for routing and has 3 'subpages'/components.
* The home page renders a static webpage as pictured in the document available at the following URL. Implement a swipe gesture for the image slider on the top, using the same image three times or different images of your choosing. Typeface selection is not important, you may use anything similar with the pictured font.

* The second has a textbox which allows you to search by name in the PokeApi at https://pokeapi.co - it only sends the query over to PokeApi once the query string is at least 3 characters. Any results that it gets are rendered as a list that shows the name of the Pokemon, the species that it belongs to and a small picture.
* The third page requires a user to activate location services and calculate the distance in kilometers from the user to the Bermuda triangle (25.0000° N, 71.0000° W).
You are required to work for a maximum time of 5 hours on this. Should you finish before this time, you can stop. We will assess your application based on how far you get with this and on the quality of your code.
You are to upload the code for this test job to a Github repository that you must show to our.
This is a 100% REMOTE position. Our timezone is GMT+2 - we will need to have some overlap in order to work together on this later on. We expect to start ASAP once the test job completes, with a small-scale mock used for customer interviews, then the longer term PWA.
Please indicate any relevant information and your current portfolio work in the initial application if you feel that would provide an insight into your experience level. We would expect that this would help both you and us in finding a good match between us.
