Refine Glassmorphic Car OS UI
Budget: €100 – €150 EUR
I’ve built the first version of SHRSMK-OS, a custom in-car interface that runs on a Raspberry Pi and relies on HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JavaScript. The fundamentals work, the Spotify Web API (PKCE) streams music, and the look already leans into a glassmorphism aesthetic inspired by Tesla and Polestar—yet it still needs that final layer of polish.
Visual design and aesthetics are my top priority. I want every icon, button, grid and gradient to feel meticulously crafted, with subtle blurs and glows that hold up on a bright 7-inch dashboard display. If you can push the colour scheme further or finesse micro-interactions so they feel luxurious, that’s exactly what I’m after.
Beyond refinement, I need the front-end code optimized. Trim unused CSS, streamline JavaScript, and ensure the UI stays fluid and responsive on the Pi’s constrained hardware. If migrating sections to React, Svelte, Tailwind CSS or another lightweight framework will improve load times and maintainability, propose it—performance gains must be tangible.
A signature feature still outstanding is a 3D Coverflow music slider tied into Spotify. Smooth, stutter-free animation is the main focus, with realistic depth and touch responsiveness following close behind. The slider must run seamlessly in a full-screen chromium session without dropping frames.
Deliverables
• Updated codebase (HTML/CSS/JS or agreed framework) fully cleaned, commented and organised.
• Polished UI consistent with the existing glassmorphism direction, covering every icon, control, layout grid and gradient.
• Working 3D Coverflow slider integrated with the current Spotify endpoints, delivering fluid animations on the Raspberry Pi.
• Brief deployment notes so I can flash the build and verify on hardware.
