Turkish Spare Parts Sourcing

The project centres on locating and securing competitively-priced spare parts within the Turkish market for use in automotive, mining, bottling and energy operations. The immediate focus is on spare parts, yet future phases may extend to raw materials and consumables once a reliable supply chain is in place.

Work begins with detailed market research: mapping reputable manufacturers, distributors and surplus dealers across key industrial zones such as Bursa, Konya, Izmir and the Marmara region. After short-listing, I need firm quotations, lead times, minimum order quantities and Incoterms clearly documented in a comparison table (Excel or Google Sheets).

When pricing and technical fit look favourable, factory or warehouse inspections are required. On-site checks should confirm ISO compliance, production capacity and basic quality-control processes; a photo-rich visit report is expected for each location visited. Negotiations must be handled in Turkish, with all correspondence translated back to English so internal stakeholders can approve the purchase order.

Acceptance criteria
• 5–7 qualified suppliers per requested part number, each with verified contact details
• Quotation sheet showing unit price, tooling or mould costs (if any), payment terms and delivery timeline
• At least one completed visit report, including geotagged photos, interview notes and risk assessment
• Final recommendation memo outlining best-value option and next-best alternatives
