STS Structural provides engineering consultancy services across a range of building sectors, specifically in cold formed steel, steel, modular, and framed construction.
We have had a lot of enquiries regarding tension membrane structures, such as shade sails, cantilever shade structures, and container dome shelters.
The scope of this project is specifically for container dome shelters. We are looking for an experienced structural designer or an operator of specialist tension membrane structural design software (such as Dlubal RFEM, k3-tent, or similar) to carry out the modelling and stress analysis, and work with the STS Structural team in determining the structural adequacy of the proposed structures under combined wind and self weight loading. Note that any design software will not be provided by STS Structural.
Our client has provided us with a typical container dome shelter (12m span) that we would like assessed to determine the maximum design wind speed that this structure can sustain in accordance with Australian Standards (AS4100, AS/NZS4600, AS/NZS1170.0, AS/NZS1170.1, AS/NZS1170.2)
