Telescopic Gate FEA Analysis and Verification
Budget: $10 – $70 USD
I am looking for an experienced structural engineer / mechanical engineer / FEA analyst to verify an existing 3D model of a telescopic gate intended for use in cattle pens / livestock handling infrastructure.
The 3D model of sections is already completed. I need a specialist who can check, preferably in ANSYS whether the design is structurally safe under realistic operating conditions.
Scope of work
- review the existing 3D model
- perform structural verification under static and dynamic loads
- assess whether the gate can withstand loads generated by cattle
- consider:
- pushing loads
- lateral loads
- possible impact loads
- repeated loading in real use
- evaluate critical areas such as:
- telescopic members
- locking points
- hinge / pivot areas
- supports and connections
- welded joints
- local stress concentrations
- deformation and buckling risk
Requirements
The freelancer must understand how to assess animal-induced loads, especially for cattle, and should have experience with:
- ANSYS or other professional FEA software
- steel structures
- gates / barriers / agricultural or livestock equipment
- realistic structural safety verification
Deliverables
- clear load assumptions
- boundary conditions used in the analysis
- stress and deformation results
- static and dynamic assessment
- identification of weak points
- safety conclusion
- recommendations for strengthening or redesign if needed
- short engineering report with screenshots / simulation outputs
Important
I need a realistic engineering assessment not only a basic visual simulation.
Please also consider connection/support conditions, since these may control the actual structural performance.
Please include in your proposal
- your relevant experience
- software you use
- examples of similar projects
- price
- estimated delivery time
