Structural Engineering - Timber mounting Solar Support System

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have a timber mounting frame already drafted for a rooftop solar array in California and I now need a structural engineer who can prepare the drawings and calculations for the timber structure.

Scope of review
The task starts with a thorough check of the current concept: structural integrity, every connection point, and the overall layout of the wooden support system. From there, I need the full set of structural calculations—load analysis, wind and seismic per CBC / ASCE-7, and connection strength checks following NDS for wood construction.

Calculations & drawings
Alongside the calcs, I’ll need refined drawings that show the support structures and all connection details in enough clarity for the plan checker. If you prefer RISA, SAP2000, or ETABS for the analysis and AutoCAD or Revit for the sheets.

Deliverables (all in PDF + the original CAD/analysis files)
• calculation report covering gravity, wind, and seismic loads
• permit drawings with updated support- and connection-detail sheets
• Any supplemental sketches or notes required by the jurisdiction
