Structural Design – Overhead Crane Runway Beam, Columns & Foundations
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are seeking an experienced structural engineer/designer to perform the structural design of an overhead crane runway system for a 10-ton overhead crane. The scope includes crane runway beams, supporting steel columns, and reinforced concrete foundations. The design shall comply with American standards, using Grade S275 steel, and shall be fully coordinated with the provided crane manufacturer load data and layout drawings.
he designer shall carry out full structural modeling, analysis, and design using STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis. Design shall be in accordance with AISC 360 (LRFD), ACI 318, ASCE 7, and applicable crane runway design guidelines (AISC / CMAA). The scope includes analysis of vertical, horizontal, impact, braking, and crane-induced forces; design of steel columns and global stability system; reinforced concrete foundation design; and complete connection design for runway beams, columns, base plates, and anchor bolts.
Deliverables:
Structural calculation reports for the crane runway beams, supporting steel structure, and concrete foundations
Connection design calculations
Design drawings (PDF + editable format preferred) including general arrangement, runway beam details, column and base plate details, and foundation reinforcement
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
Strong knowledge of AISC / ACI design codes
Ability to deliver clear, professional calculations and drawings
