Structural Benching Plan for Retail
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need a permittable structural plan that lets me bench our existing concrete-block walls to a greater depth in a commercial retail store. The state of licensure is Virginia.
Scope
• Produce clear drawings (PDF + CAD) showing the new stepped footing/bench detail, dimensions, reinforcement, and sequencing so my contractor can follow them without guesswork.
• Include basic structural calculations that justify the proposed depth and confirm stability of the concrete-block masonry during and after excavation.
• Add notes for typical code checks (IBC or equivalent) and any temporary shoring or underpinning steps you recommend.
I can share existing as-built information and site photos as soon as we start. I’m aiming for a straightforward, build-ready package rather than an extensive multi-phase study, so please keep the design efficient and practical. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar structural drafting tools are fine—use whatever you’re comfortable with as long as the output is clear.
