Structural Analysis for Steel Railing
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
We need a professional engineer to review a steel-railing design and demonstrate, through calculation and professional judgement, that it satisfies relevant building codes. The end goal is a formal, stamp-ready structural engineering report that proves safety compliance and can be handed straight to inspectors, fabricators, or insurers.
Here is what the assignment covers and what I expect back from you:
• Run a full structural analysis in the software package you know best—whether that is STAAD.Pro, SolidWorks Simulation, AutoCAD add-ins, or another mainstream tool—as long as the methodology is defensible and reproducible.
• Document load assumptions, material properties, boundary conditions, and all intermediate calculations.
• Show deflection, stress, and connection checks for every critical member, highlighting governing cases.
• Package everything—calculations, annotated drawings, and a concise executive summary—into a single PDF report.
I will supply the current CAD model, preliminary drawings, and any project-specific load data as soon as we start. Let me know your preferred file format and any additional information you need so we can move efficiently toward completion.
