Steel Industrial Service Pit Design

I’m commissioning a complete design package for a prefabricated, steel-built industrial service pit that will comply with all applicable Australian Standards and any associated engineering requirements. The pit will serve as both a maintenance area and an inspection zone, so the layout must allow technicians to move safely under heavy equipment, store tools within arm’s reach, and meet stringent workplace-health-and-safety regulations.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Certified design drawings and structural calculations demonstrating compliance with current Australian Standards and local codes.
• A fabrication-ready model (preferably in SolidWorks or similar), including a full bill of materials for the steel components, fasteners, safety rails, access steps, and any integrated lighting or ventilation units you recommend.
• Clear assembly instructions that a local workshop can follow without further clarification, plus tolerance specifications for prefabrication and on-site installation.
I’ll review the drawings with my consulting engineer, so please be prepared to update the package should the certifying body request minor revisions.
