Structural Draftsman / CADS RC Expert – Post-Tensioned (PT) Slab Reinforcement Detailing
We require an experienced Structural Draftsman to generate comprehensive Slab Reinforcement Detailing drawings using CADS RC.
You will be converting a finalized Post-Tensioned (PT) design from a PDF document into a fully detailed rebar shop drawing on our provided AutoCAD General Arrangement (GA) layout file. The final output must include a precise, automated Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) generated directly through CADS RC.
Available Inputs & Reference Files
The following files will be provided immediately upon hiring:
AutoCAD File (.dwg): The master General Arrangement (GA) Drawing containing the architectural grids, structural columns, walls, slab boundaries, drop panels, and openings.
PDF File: The Issued for Construction (IFC) PT Design Package. This includes the tendon layouts, high/low points, and crucially, the engineer's marked-up passive/bonded reinforcement requirements (extra top/bottom rebar, punching shear reinforcement, and anti-bursting mesh at anchorage zones).
## Scope of Work & Deliverables
The selected freelancer will be responsible for:
Slab Reinforcement Detailing: Drafting all passive reinforcement (top, bottom, and extra rebar at column heads/openings) in accordance with the provided IFC PT design.
CADS RC Compliance: All rebar must be drawn using standard CADS RC commands, utilizing proper bar marks, spacing formulas, and layering conventions.
Bar Bending Schedule (BBS): Generate a complete, error-free, and formatted BBS within the drawing file using CADS RC's automated engine.
Coordination: Ensure the reinforcement completely avoids clashing with the PT tendon paths, anchorage zones, and slab openings indicated in the IFC PDF.
Final Deliverables: * Fully editable AutoCAD .dwg file containing the CADS RC elements.
Print-ready .pdf of the final reinforcement layouts (Sheets scaled to standard sizes like A1/A0).
## Job Requirements & Qualifications
Mastery of AutoCAD and native CADS RC plugins. (Note: Manual/exploded 2D rebar drafting or standard AutoCAD polylines will not be accepted).
Deep understanding of structural concrete behavior, specifically Post-Tensioned (PT) slabs and how passive rebar interacts with tendons.
Familiarity with international detailing standards (e.g., BS 8666, ACI, or Eurocodes—Specify your preferred code here if applicable).
Ability to work under tight deadlines and communicate proactively.
