Single Family Home Structural Letter
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for a licensed structural engineer to review a single-family residential project and issue a formal verification letter that I can submit to my local building department and lender. The house is already framed and dried-in; what I still need is professional confirmation that the foundation, framing, and roof structure all meet current code requirements and were built in accordance with the approved plans.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A brief site or plan review of the foundation, framing, and roof structure (whichever you prefer—on-site visit or detailed plan analysis, depending on your state’s rules).
• A signed and sealed letter, on your professional letterhead, clearly stating that these three elements are structurally sound and compliant with the relevant IBC/IRC provisions and any local amendments.
• Fast turnaround; my permit office has a tight timeline, so please let me know your earliest availability.
TO confirm that the way the rebar was actually installed is still structurally safe.
I will provide the original structural drawings, photos, and any inspection reports you need. If an on-site visit is required in my jurisdiction, include your travel fee in your proposal; otherwise, a remote review is acceptable as long as your stamp is recognized here.
Please include your license number, the states you’re currently registered in, and a sample of a past verification letter so I can confirm formatting meets my jurisdiction’s expectations.
