Retaining Wall Footing Design
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m building a 13 m long Besser block retaining wall, 200 series, that tops out at 1 700 mm. The site sits on weathered rock and I need a full footing design that tells me exactly how deep and wide to excavate, the reinforcement layout, concrete strength and any starter-bar details so the blocks tie in properly.
Good drainage is essential: I’m going with the classic gravel-and-pipe setup behind the wall, so the drawings should show pipe diameter, outlet spacing and the back-fill zone. Please size everything so it complies with standard practice and any relevant code for a rock founding material.
Deliverables I’m expecting:
• PDF and DWG footing plan, wall section and reinforcement schedule
• Notes/specs covering concrete mix, steel grade and placement tolerances
• Drainage detail with elevations and fall directions
I’ll review against the drawing set, dimensions and reinforcement quantities; once those check out we’re done.
