Residential Solar Permit Set

Hello,

I am seeking a qualified solar design professional or engineering firm to produce a complete, permit-ready off-grid solar + battery + generator design package for a residential project located in Coconino County, Arizona (Williams, AZ area).

This is an off-grid installation (no utility interconnection). The design must be suitable for AHJ submission and permit approval in Coconino County.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

• Ground-mounted PV system (30 panels total, approx. 13.5 kW DC)
• Mounting preference: pressure-treated wood posts with aluminum or Unistrut rails
• Inverter: EG4 FlexBOSS21 (48V split-phase)
• Batteries: EG4 PowerPro (2 units, expandable architecture)
• Generator: Generac Guardian 7171 (10kW)
• Generator integration: 2-wire start via inverter AGS (no standalone ATS preferred unless required)
• Two separate 100A cabin panels
• Shared solar shed housing inverter, batteries, and generator
• Underground feeder runs: approximately 75 ft + 15 ft (trenchable route)
• Automatic load shedding required for EV charger and dishwashers during low SOC or generator operation

This is not a grid-tied net-metered system. This is a true off-grid hybrid system with generator backup.

SCOPE OF WORK REQUIRED

Electrical Design:
• Complete permit-ready PDF plan set
• Single-line diagram (SLD)
• PV stringing + MPPT configuration
• Battery integration and system architecture
• Generator integration (2-wire AGS via inverter)
• NEC load calculations (two cabins + shared loads)
• Conductor sizing
• Voltage drop calculations
• Grounding and bonding details
• Overcurrent protection sizing
• Underground feeder design and trench detail
• Panel schedules (both cabins)
• Load shedding logic design

Structural Design – Ground Mount:
• Site-specific wind and snow load calculations (Coconino County)
• Structural design per IBC and applicable codes
• Post spacing and embedment schedule
• Uplift, lateral, and frost depth considerations
• Site Class D assumption if geotechnical report not provided
• Wood post + rail structural detailing
• Structural calculation report suitable for permit submission

DELIVERABLES

• Complete permit-ready stamped PDF plan set
• Electrical calculation package
• Structural calculation package
• Arizona-licensed PE stamps (electrical and structural on required sheets)

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

Please confirm the following in your response:
1. Do you provide Arizona-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) stamping?
2. Are structural and electrical stamps provided under one coordinated submittal?
3. Are PE stamps included in your quoted price or priced separately?
4. Can you provide the Arizona PE license number for verification?
5. Is your design site-specific (wind/snow derived for this project location)?
6. What is your total fixed, all-in price for the full scope described above?
7. What is your estimated turnaround time?
8. How many revisions are included?
9. Have you completed off-grid hybrid systems using EG4 equipment before?

Please also share a sample permit-ready stamped plan set for a similar off-grid ground-mount project (not just a PV production report or PV*SOL simulation output).

I am not looking for energy modeling only. I require a construction-level permit package suitable for AHJ approval.

This project will move forward quickly once scope and pricing are aligned.
