I'm seeking a structural engineer/PE to assist with a residential remodel project. Your tasks will include creating detailed structural drawings for various external elements, verifying the existing foundation's capacity, and preparing necessary calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive structural drawings for exterior stairs, guard rails, and deck framing, including posts, foundations, and anchorage connections for guards.
- Assess the existing foundation to determine if it can support the new master bedroom floor framing. If so, prepare a stamped and signed letter confirming this.
- Conduct and document structural calculations for load-bearing elements, ensuring compliance with relevant code requirements.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Licenced structural engineer with a strong background in residential construction.
- Proficient in creating detailed structural drawings.
- Experience in evaluating foundations and load-bearing walls.
- Ability to conduct and document structural calculations in line with code requirements.
- Capable of providing stamped and signed verification when necessary.
