Residential Construction Engineering Support
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My residential build is already in the construction phase and I need a seasoned civil engineer to keep everything structurally sound and on schedule. The core of the assignment is three-fold: structural engineering oversight, day-to-day site supervision, and rigorous quality control/inspection throughout the remaining works.
I will hand over current drawings, contractor schedules, and material specs so you can review what has been executed and flag anything that conflicts with design intent or local code. Regular presence on site—either in person or via coordinated virtual walk-throughs—is essential for you to:
• Verify all structural elements match approved plans and engineering calculations.
• Issue immediate corrective actions when workmanship or materials fall short.
• Produce concise inspection reports that I can share with the GC, architect, and city inspector.
Preferred tools include AutoCAD or Revit for quick mark-ups, plus a cloud platform (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) to log observations and photos. Final acceptance will rest on receipt of weekly inspection summaries, signed off structural checklists for critical stages (framing, reinforcement, concrete pours, load-bearing walls), and a close-out letter confirming compliance with design intent and relevant building codes.
