50,000 MT Multipurpose Silo Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a complete mechanical and structural design package for a 50,000 metric-ton ground-mounted storage silo that can safely handle several fertilizers—Rock Phosphate, DAP, MOP, Ammonium Sulphate, Urea and Sulfur. The main driver for every decision is mechanical strength and long-term stability; I must be absolutely confident that the silo will perform under the different bulk densities, flow characteristics and corrosive tendencies of these products.
Scope of work
• Mechanical and structural calculations that factor in each product’s density, potential arching or ratholing behaviour, and any corrosion allowances.
• General arrangement, fabrication and erection drawings for the shell, roof, cone/hopper (if required), stiffeners and foundations.
• Integrated accessories: access ladders, platforms, inspection hatches, safety railings, certified fall-arrest points, dust suppression nozzles, water drainage for rainfall control, and a ventilation solution you recommend (I’m open to natural, forced or hybrid concepts as long as they serve the process).
• Drainage layout that channels rainwater away from foundations without undermining soil bearing capacity.
Key expectations
– Your calculations must reference applicable standards (API, Eurocode, AISC, ASCE or similar—state what you intend to
– All drawings in editable CAD (DWG or similar) plus PDFs for review.
– A concise design report summarising assumptions, loads, safety factors, corrosion allowances and maintenance recommendations.
Timeline and collaboration
I’ll review each milestone—concept, preliminary sizing, final drawings—within two business days so we can keep momentum. I’m happy to clarify operational details or site conditions as soon as you ask.
If you have designed large-capacity fertilizer or grain silos before, especially those requiring robust dust control and water management, please share a sample or brief case study when you submit.
