1. Pass the City of Los Angeles Building Department Services (LADBS) Low Impact Development Plan (LID) requirements - this is mostly related to the rain garden.
2. Pass the grading requirements - this is mostly the drainage part of LID plan.
3. The grading and LID plan are tied together. The plan you create and sign off on must meet the needs of LID (rain garden) and grading (drainage and permeable area).
4.There are two sets of plans. One for the main house, one for the ADU. Why? The main house plan showed a rec room, but that was supposed to be an ADU, so separate plans were then submitted for the ADU and that changed the calculations for roof size for example, which changed the size of the rain garden because is dependent on the % of rooftop, fyi. One for the main house, one for the ADU.
