LGSS Porta Cabin Structural Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I fabricate porta cabins and now need an optimised design for a new line of office units built from light-gauge steel sections (LGSS). The target footprint sits between 100 sq ft and 300 sq ft and must comfortably accommodate the following essentials:
• Workstations
• Meeting room
• Reception area
What I’m looking for
A designer or structural consultant who lives and breathes lightweight construction and can translate these requirements into a complete, build-ready package. You should be comfortable working in CAD/BIM (AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and running structural checks in STAAD, Tekla, SAP2000 or equivalent software to make sure the LGSS frame meets national codes for wind load, transport stresses and on-site handling.
Deliverables I need to receive
• Concept layouts showing internal zoning and furniture placement
• Detailed LGSS frame drawings with member schedules and connection details
• Structural calculations and load-path justification in an editable report
• Bill of materials with cut lengths and weights for rapid fabrication
• 3D model (STEP or IFC) for client visualisation and clash checks
Acceptance criteria
1. All drawings must be dimensioned in metric and layered logically.
2. Steel profiles and fasteners must be commercially available in India.
3. Deflection limits and factor-of-safety values must be clearly stated in the calc pack.
4. Final model should open cleanly in Revit 2022 without missing families.
