I have designed a small building that combines a light‐gauge steel frame with cast-in-place concrete shear walls. Before I finalise drawings or commit to fabrication, I need an experienced structural engineer to validate that the concept can safely carry its intended loads. The priority is a thorough structural integrity assessment, with particular emphasis on load-bearing capacity. The finished structure must comfortably support normal human occupancy while resisting regional wind and snow actions.

What I would like from you is a clear set of calculations, checks and recommendations that confirm (or improve) member sizing, connection details and wall–frame interaction. You may work in the software you prefer—STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, RFEM or similar—as long as the final output is easy to follow and references the relevant code clauses. If any weaknesses appear in the current scheme, please propose practical, cost-neutral modifications rather than wholesale redesign.

To make expectations precise, the deliverables are:

• A concise report (PDF) summarising design assumptions, load paths and capacity checks
• Annotated sketches or mark-ups of critical joints showing any required changes
• A brief call or written summary explaining results in plain language so I can relay them to my fabricator and concrete contractor
