I have a designer who's provided blueprints for home layout, ( foundation, 1st/2nd floor, etc..). I has some structural information to builder for it , but every thing is listed as " typical footing" or " typical stair". He said I give the plans to the framer and the foundation people and they will know how to build it. Not sure I want to trust the framer/foundation contractor to build it to code/ load specs and I may be looking for some things to be called out a little more in detail, hence, I'm reaching out to some structural engineers for their thoughts and costs to take my designs and make them more specific so i build it correctly and avoid problems down the road.
