AS3996 Grate Pit Design Certification
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a set of fully-detailed structural drawings for a series of steel drainage grate pits that must comply with Australian Standard AS3996. The pits serve a drainage and access.
Clear openings are already defined: 450 mm × 450 mm, 600 mm × 600 mm, 600 mm × 900 mm, and 900 mm × 900 mm. I will rely on you to develop. thicknesses, reinforcement details (if any), and any other dimensional or tolerance information required by AS3996 so the grates can be holding for class D load weight.
Steel or Hot dip galvanised steel is the specified material. I want class D grades, corrosion-protection treatments and welding notes in line with the standard and typical Australian site conditions.
Deliverables
• Fully dimensioned CAD drawings (PDF and editable DWG) for each grate pit size
• An engineer-signed certificate of compliance confirming all drawings meet AS3996
Acceptance will be based on:
1. Drawings clearly showing plan, elevation and section views with all critical dimensions.
2. Bill of materials specifying steel grades and protective finishes.
3. Certificate referencing the issued drawing numbers and AS3996 clauses satisfied.
If anything in the brief is unclear, let me know early so we can lock it down before you commence the drafting work.
