P.Eng structural engineer to size timber beam and connections Ontario, Canada

Construction of a partially covered deck. A permit application has been submitted to the City of Niagara Falls and they have requested a P.Eng to review the sizing and connections of a beam carrying the vertical point load created by the column that carries the roof ridge beam. This request is covered in items 1,2 and 3 in the Building Permit Status Letter attached. The proposed roof covering the deck is a gable roof with a ridge beam to avoid ceiling joists. Roof material and sheathing to match existing house construction (asphalt shingles with min. 1/2" sheathing).
