Elevator Pit Infill Engineering Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My villa’s elevator shaft was cast 1 350 mm deep, yet the lift I’ve selected only requires a 100 mm recess. I therefore need to permanently fill the remaining 1 250 mm so the new elevator bears on a solid, durable base that easily carries all downward loads.
I will provide:
• Full pit dimensions and reinforcement details
• Manufacturer data showing the lift’s maximum downward force
What I expect from you:
• Professional guidance on the most suitable infill material (or layered system) that meets strength, durability, and low-maintenance goals
• A clear 3D structural model of the proposed solution—native CAD or IFC preferred, but any common 3D format is fine
• Supporting calculations and notes referencing whichever code you deem appropriate (IBC, Eurocode, or a comparable standard)
• A concise specification sheet contractors can follow on-site, including curing or compaction steps if needed
If existing on-site materials such as concrete, gravel, or sand can be reused, please factor that in; otherwise propose the optimum alternative. My priority is a safe, future-proof design delivered quickly.
