Commercial Fixed Awning Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Licensed PE needed to provide stamped verification that shipping containers provide adequate ground bearing capacity without concrete footings for a fabric container shelter installation in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Two 40' shipping containers supporting a Hills Industrial Model 5040C double-truss peaked roof shelter (50'x40'x26').
Spanish Fork Building Department has specifically requested engineering verification of weight distribution and foundation adequacy without concrete footings/foundation. The city may also require snow load, wind, and seismic analysis, but for now they have only asked for foundation adequacy verification.
I have a detailed reference document with structure specs, site data, and preliminary ASCE 7 calculations already prepared if the scope expands. Site-specific ground snow load is 34 PSF per USU Snow Load Study (Lat 40.120, Long -111.638, Elev 4,603 ft). Commercial zone. Utah PE license required.
