Commercial Building Steel Take-Off
Budget: $14 – $30 NZD
I need an accurate, fully itemised structural steel quantity take-off for an upcoming commercial building. I already have the complete, detailed structural drawings in both PDF and DWG, ready to send over immediately.
Scope of work
The take-off must cover only the beams, columns, bracing and trusses shown on the plans; connections and fittings will be handled separately. Every member should be captured exactly as labelled on the drawings, with weights calculated from current AISC tables.
Deliverables
• A spreadsheet (Excel or CSV) listing each member mark, size, length, weight and subtotal, plus overall tonnage
• Marked-up plan set (PDF) highlighting where each count came from for quick audit and traceability
Please use the estimating tool you are most comfortable with—Bluebeam, Planswift, Tekla Estimator or similar—and note your turnaround time along with a brief example of a comparable project you have completed. Accuracy and clarity are the top priorities, and I am available to answer drawing questions at any point.
