Brownsville Residential Addition Structural Calculations needed
Budget: $10 – $80 USD
I’m expanding my home in Brownsville, TX and already have Plans & Specs in PDF only (not DWG). What I need is full structural calculations for the addition so the city will issue a permit and my contractor can proceed.
Scope
• Perform all required structural calculations and analysis for the planned addition, accounting for local wind loads, soil conditions, and the latest IRC/IBC requirements.
• Reference my existing drawings throughout the work to ensure seamless tie-ins between old and new construction.
• Deliver a clear, professionally formatted report (PDF) that the building department can review without further clarification. Native calculation files (e.g., Excel, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar) should accompany the final PDF.
Acceptance
The job is complete when I have:
1. A signed calculation package that demonstrates code compliance for gravity, wind and lateral loading.
2. A brief summary sheet my contractor can post on-site.
3. All supporting model or spreadsheet files.
4. An approved building permit.
If you are familiar with Texas residential codes and comfortable working directly from existing PDFs, you’ll be able to move quickly on this. Call me and I can supply the plans for your bid and will respond promptly to any clarification you need.
