Attic Structure Evaluation

I want to create storage space in my attic. The existing roof support structure uses 2 x 4 truss units held together with Simpson tie plates. The trusses are on 24" centers. I need to cut one of the trusses to accommodate a pull-down ladder. The ladder I will use requires a 25 1/2" x 54" rough opening. Therefore one truss bottom cord needs to be cut.

Also, I will be storing about 2,000 pounds on 3/4 plywood flooring. I need to have an engineer determine the best approach to take without sacrificing the integrity my garage ceiling and the roof support.
