ANSYS FEA for Pressure Hull

Job ID: 39965996

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I have a complete 3-D model of a steel pressure hull of DSRV and will forward both the geometry and a table with all principal dimensions. I will also indicate the exact spacing for the internal stiffening system, which is a combination of ring and longitudinal stiffeners. There are two opening in the presuure hull where i would want you to add additional structural support. The vessel is supposed to be designed for max depth of 2000 m. Hydrostatic pressure is the only load acting on the pressure hull.

What I need from you is a static structural finite-element analysis carried out in ANSYS Workbench (or Mechanical APDL if you prefer) that tells me two things with confidence:
1) whether the hull, with the specified stiffener layout, meets basic structural-integrity requirements under the applied external pressure, and
2) where the peak stress concentrations occur so I can decide if local redesign is necessary.
Please set up an appropriate mesh, apply the hydrostatic pressure loading envelope I will provide, and use the correct steel material properties (HY 130). Boundary conditions should mimic the real constraints of the hull ends; we can discuss the most representative approach before you run the final case.

Deliverables
• The native ANSYS project files, fully solved so I can review settings and rerun if required.
• A concise PDF report (~5–8 pages) summarising assumptions, mesh statistics, convergence checks, Von Mises stress contours, displacement plots, and a factor-of-safety statement against the steel’s yield strength.
• Screenshots or short notes pinpointing any critical stress hot-spots or buckling-prone regions around the stiffeners.

If anything is unclear, feel free to ask before you start meshing—getting the boundary conditions right is more important to me than racing through the first iteration.
