WordPress Tiered Subscription Integration

I’m ready to hire a WordPress developer who can take our existing site and wire in a robust, tier-based membership system. We already have the plan laid out: one free tier and three paid tiers that renew every 30 days through Stripe. Your mission is to make that flow work end-to-end—billing, upgrades, downgrades, and access control—without a hiccup.

What the build must do
• Charge each paid member automatically every 30 days via Stripe.
• Instantly revert any user whose payment fails to the free tier.
• Let every paid tier inherit the perks of the levels below it, with the top tier enjoying full platform access.
• Enforce custom access rules so only the right people can view premium content, exclusive resources, and our template library.
• Fire off branded email or in-dashboard notifications whenever users subscribe, renew, downgrade, or let a payment lapse.

I’m open to whichever membership plugin you prefer—Paid Memberships Pro, WooCommerce Subscriptions, MemberPress, or a clean custom solution—so long as the underlying PHP is solid, hooks cleanly into Stripe, and leaves room for future feature flags.

Acceptance criteria
1. Live Stripe test mode shows recurring payments succeeding and failing, with proper tier assignment in each case.
2. Logged-in users see or lose premium menus, content blocks, and template downloads immediately when their tier changes.
3. Admin dashboard clearly lists every member’s current tier, renewal date, and payment status.
4. All notification texts are editable in WordPress and send correctly.
5. Brief hand-off document explains where key logic sits and how to add a new tier later.
