Modern Taxi Booking Widget Development
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I need a production-ready widget that lets travellers book airport transfers in a few guided steps, calculates the fare on the fly, charges the card with Stripe, and pushes the job straight into our existing dispatch platform.
Core flow
• User selects pickup & drop-off on an embedded Google Map, airline & flight number if applicable.
• The widget queries Google Maps APIs for distance and traffic, applies our pricing rules, and shows a real-time fare breakdown.
• Customer moves through a clean multi-step form (vehicle type, extras, passenger info, payment).
• Stripe handles the payment and returns a confirmed reference; the booking is then sent to our dispatch system via its REST API.
Key requirements
• Front-end in either React or Vue and built for mobile-first responsiveness.
• Back-end on Node.js with secure endpoints and token-based authentication.
• Google Maps integration, dynamic fare calculation, and Stripe payment processing are mandatory.
• Flight tracking, promo-code handling and multilanguage support will follow, so the architecture must stay modular.
• Page load under 2 s on 4G and full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
Deliverables
1. Source code (frontend & backend) in a private Git repo.
2. Postman collection documenting every REST call.
3. One-click deployment script (Docker or similar).
4. Short video walkthrough plus written setup instructions.
Acceptance criteria
• Successful test booking flows from map selection to paid confirmation.
• Accurate fare shown within ±1 % of server-side calculation.
• Booking appears in our staging dispatch environment immediately after payment.
• No critical vulnerabilities flagged by OWASP ZAP scan.
