Precision Weighing Subsystem
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have already completed the Altium schematic and 2-layer PCB layout for a ratiometric weighing module that relies on an ADS1220 24-bit ADC (PGA = 128×, SPI + DMA) fed by a REF3033 precision reference and an IP67 load cell. The board centres on an STM32G431CBT6 and achieves 0.005 g resolution with automatic tare compensation.
Key layout decisions are in place—5 mm copper keep-out between analog and digital zones, decouplers within 3 mm of every supply pin, matched-length differential pairs on AINP/AINN, and carefully guarded ground planes. Because this will ship in a consumer product, consistent high precision is the prime objective; extreme environmental sealing is not required and a standard enclosure will be used.
Before I release the design to the fab, I need an experienced set of eyes to:
• Run a full design-for-manufacture and signal-integrity check inside Altium Designer.
• Verify that my grounding, Kelvin connections to the load cell and reference routing truly support 24-bit performance.
• Suggest (and, if approved, implement) any tweaks that could further suppress noise, offset drift or thermal errors.
• Produce the final release package: updated Altium project, locked-down Gerbers/ODB++, pick-and-place, BoM in CSV, and a short review report outlining all findings and changes.
If you have hands-on experience squeezing micro-volt signals out of the ADS1220, or you have shipped precision weight sensors in consumer devices, please tell me what similar boards you have vetted and how you typically approach low-noise PCB reviews. I will share the current design files under NDA so you can quote effort after an initial look.
