Port STM32F4 Code To U5

Job ID: 40460883

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have a fully working firmware package that was written for an STM32F4 MCU and built in PlatformIO. We are now migrating the hardware to an STM32U5 device and I need the entire project brought across, updated, and verified.

Your task is to:

• create a new build that targets the selected STM32U5 part,
• update all peripheral, clock, DMA, and memory settings so the code runs as-is on the new silicon,
• preserve the current PlatformIO workflow (I’m willing to accept an STM32CubeIDE version in parallel if that helps), and
• leave clear comments or a short change log so my team can follow every modification.

I will provide the original F4 source, board schematics, pin assignments, and test routines; you bring up the U5 project and confirm identical behaviour on the specified hardware. Compilation must be clean—no warnings promoted to errors—and the firmware should run through the existing self-tests unchanged.

Timeline: everything needs to be ready for my bench validation inside four weeks, so please plan to have the code handed over a few days earlier to leave room for feedback.

If you’ve done STM32 migrations before and are comfortable working in PlatformIO, let’s get started.
