Power BI Tutor From Scratch -- 2
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
I am starting from zero and want to grow into a confident, job-ready Power BI user. My background with data tools is strictly beginner level, so I need a tutor who can design a structured, end-to-end syllabus—think of it as our roadmap from the basics all the way to advanced dashboards and DAX.
The lessons must be delivered in live one-on-one sessions. I learn best by doing, so each concept should be paired with hands-on practice: small guided exercises during the call and more extensive assignments afterward. I expect you to review every assignment and give actionable feedback before we move to the next topic.
Key milestones I have in mind:
• Foundational overview: Power Query, data types, simple visualizations
• Data modelling: relationships, star schema fundamentals, basic DAX
• Intermediate DAX and measures: CALCULATE, time-intelligence, filter context
• Advanced visuals and storytelling: bookmarks, drill-through, custom visuals
• Publishing & governance: Power BI Service, workspaces, row-level security
• Performance tuning & best practices
Deliverables I need to see:
1. A clear syllabus with estimated timelines and learning objectives.
2. A repository (OneDrive, GitHub, or similar) holding all lesson files, sample data, and solutions.
3. Weekly written feedback on my submitted assignments, noting strengths, blind spots, and next steps.
