NBA Player Stats Importance Analysis
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
I'm seeking someone knowledgeable in data analytics, and familiar with the NBA (National Basketball Association), to perform a one-time analysis of player statistics. I want to know which stats contribute the most to the 2K Overall score (will be provided in the data sheet) The goal is to use recursive feature elimination or some other feature selection method, to identify most important features from a set of data and give them a relative score. Here are some key points about the task:
- Stats for Evaluation: You'll focus on an assortment of statistics for 20 players including points per game, assists per game, rebounds per game, field goals %, free throws along with a few other stats. You will rank what features/stats contribute the most to the overall score.
- Selection Method: For the feature selection process, we will utilize the recursive feature elimination method or another feature selection method, whichever chose, the process must be documented and shown when possible

-Any graphs, charts or tables included
The analysis will only need to be executed once for now. However, depending on results, there may be additional opportunities for further collaboration in the future.
