I am working on a retrospective research project, and my preceptor told me to calculate the sample size based on the following:
Alpha value: 0.01
Beta value: 0.2
Effect size: 10%, 20%, and 30%
He wants me to calculate the sample size by using ( the effect size of all three values above ) so we can have three sample sizes. I already know how to calculate sample size generally, but I have not calculated the sample size by using the effect size. I searched for an online calculator that uses or depends on effect size, but I couldn't find one.
