• Measures Used:
• Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ; Steger et al., 2006) – 10 items (7-point scale)
• Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10; Cohen et al., 1983) – 10 items (5-point scale)
• General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12; Goldberg, 1978) – 12 items (4-point scale)
• Demographics: Age, gender identity, and language fluency
Analyses to Conduct:
1. Data Screening: Handle missing data, check for outliers and normality
2. Descriptive Statistics: Means, SDs, and correlations for all variables
3. Correlation Analysis: Pearson’s r between MLQ total score and GHQ-12 total score
4. Multiple Regression: OLS regression to test MLQ predicting GHQ-12 while controlling for PSS-10
5. Mediation Analysis: Using PROCESS macro (Model 4, Hayes, 2018) with 5,000 bootstrap samples
• Test if perceived stress mediates the link between meaning in life and psychological distress
• Report indirect effects and confidence intervals
