Quantitative researcher

ExtractAlpha, a Hong Kong-based independent financial research and FinTech firm, is seeking a recent graduate (Undergrad or Grad) from a top university in STEM fields (including finance and economics) for a Quantitative Researcher role. Responsibilities will include the analysis of unique data sets for use in investment management and forecasting, and building tools to facilitate this analysis.
Requirements
Recent degree in a STEM subject
Strong research and quantitative skills
Coding skills: strong coding is required, including Python and statistical toolkits such as Pandas and Numpy
Ability to work independently and willingness to take on project management responsibilities
Ability to effectively communicate research ideas, concepts, and progress
Presence and eligibility to work in Hong Kong
Familiarity with financial markets, and analysis of financial data, is a plus
Hands-on experience with machine learning or NLP is a strong plus
