Football Academy Analysis and Ranking Project
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a Power BI Specialist who can design a player ranking system for my football academy using the training and evaluation data available. Using this information, I want to rank players by attributes and positions. The specific player attributes to consider include:
- Cognitive Skills such as:
- Decision-making
- Tactical understanding
- Anticipation
- Reaction
- Vision
- Scanning
- Inhibition
In addition to cognitive skills, I also want the following physical attributes to be incorporated:
- Pass accuracy
- Pass power
- Sprint speed
- Dribbling
The key to this project is the use of the Rank Ordering methodology to take into account the attributes mentioned.
Ideal candidates should have superb Power BI skills, a strong analytical perspective, and a thorough understanding of football. Experience with sports analysis would also be very beneficial, especially if it's related to player performance evaluation. A familiarity with rating and ranking systems is also preferred.
The provided sheet will consist of three tabs with different data related to football players and their training:
1. **Player ID**: This sheet lists details about individual players, including:
- **Player ID**: Unique identifier for each player.
- **Name**: Full name of the player.
- **Position**: Player's position on the field.
- **Strong Foot**: Indicates whether the player is right-footed or left-footed.
- **Age**: Player's age.
- **Date of Birth**: The player's date of birth.
- There are additional columns with unclear labels or missing data.
2. **Training Reports**: This sheet provides details on various training sessions, including:
- **Player ID**: Identifier matching the Player ID tab.
- **Game Mode**: Type of training or game mode (e.g., Mini Goals, Color rings).
- **Skill Focus**: The specific skill being trained (e.g., Visual Perception, Decision Making).
- **Date**: The date of the training session.
- **Rounds, Session High Score, Session Average**: Metrics from the training sessions.
- **Personal High Score, Session High Score**: Additional performance metrics.
3. **Diagnostic Reports**: This sheet appears to contain assessment data:
- **Player ID**: Identifier matching the Player ID tab.
- **Skill Focus**: The cognitive or physical skill being assessed (e.g., Reaction, Inhibition).
- **Test Date**: The date of the diagnostic test.
- **General Score, Age Group Average Score, Test Score**: Scores obtained during the tests.
- **Better or Less, Percentage**: Indicates if the player performed better or worse than the average, along with the percentage difference.
