Fisheries Data Hypothesis Testing
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
As an experienced researcher in marine ecology, I am interested in the application of the Kaplan Meier model (Known Fates Model) to uncover locations with high predation within my fisheries data.
Primary Objectives:
- Implement a statistical modelling approach, specifically the Kaplan Meier model
- Apply this to my current fisheries data to identify river locations with high predation throughout the field research site
Required skills & experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of statistical modelling, more specifically hypothesis testing
- An understanding of ecological data, preferably fishery studies
- Proficiency in the implementation of a Kaplan Meier model or other survival models
Please note, your proposal will be highly advantageous if you present relevant case studies where you have successfully applied a Kaplan Meier model in an ecological setting. In this project, your input could contribute to marine conservation efforts based on the insights we derive from our analyses.
